As I write this, I think to myself.......

Am I a superstitious person?

I know I am to a degree. Everywhere I go I notice so many small little things. Things like when a pigeon has a broken foot, and connecting strange things with others. Anyways three signs (Today was the third) have happened over the last (three) days leading me to believe that I should probably not be in Sydney, and am being a douche bag with waiting around for this dumb job/manager to get his shit together. (He called me today and said all the forms I dropped off "must have flew out the window" he was cool and said he was sorry but still.......frustration on my behalf)

Allow me to proceed......................

1) The first was my tale about the evil bird that lurks outside my building. I see it quite often, and when I don't see it, I can feel it's presence and know that it is watching me. (I'm not crazy I swear). The point of this story is that when leaving my loft I turn left and go through the Monorail tunnel. There is an evil crazy bird that lives in the tree along the path that not once but THREE times has SWOOPED down at my head missing it by an inch and nearly puncturing my head and skull. On it's way down it lets out a shrill evil bird sound, and then flies up. The funny thing is that this has ONLY happened on my way to drop off references @ Bux. Today I felt it watching me and knew it would go for another attempt attack. I took a picture of the tree (which I will post later), and then walked by. Surely enough it did swoop @ my head and make that awful sound.

2)When I was writing down a reference my favourite pen exploded and got green ink all over my hand. (I still use that pen because I'm bullheaded and very sentimental about it)

3) Maybe one of the silliest was that I was writing out more references today (don't ask!!)...and the pen I was using EXPLODED. I swear to god my house mate was a witness. The nip of the pen went flying and hit the wall. The spring flew under the table leaving me with an empty shell of a pen in my hand...

Coincidence???

You be the judge...

Anyways that is some strangeness that has happened....I secretly hope I don't get this job so I'll get my ass out of Sydney and head up to Surfers Paradise (where I belong)...like a duck on it's way to the swimming pond...mmmm

So today and yesterday were good days, if you subtract almost getting struck by an insane bird. Last night I went to Scubar to do some crab racing. The place was too busy though, and I didn't get to race my crab...That's alright though I suppose. The prizes were pretty gay anyways (what do I need with a stupid hat and shirt-except the feeling of knowing that my crab is the best-what a victory) except the grand prize @ the end of the night which was 450$...Imagine all the bread I could buy for the ducks!!

So we headed to good Ole Side Bar after for some festivities. I didn't really feel like drinking so I just had Red Bulls...haha it really did give me wings. I didn't really feel like going home because it was still kinda early (maybe 1:30ish or something).....But I was kinda falling asleep and getting lazy. Anyways that was yesterday (I have pictures of some of the festivities)

Today was nice Rebecca and I went for coffee down by Darling Harbour and then lied on the grass. We went to Sushi train after, for a little snack. This is a cute little restaurant, it's such a great gimmick. There is a cicle converyer belt that rotates little sushi plates around. So you just watch it and grab what you want. A brilliant idea really, I must say....They had nice Miso Soup too....I enjoyed it very much........................

I'm not too sure what else is new...hmmm.......??? I want to go on a ghost tour with my flat mates sometime this week. It's pretty cool, they take you on a lantern guided tour and tell you about all the spOoOOoOky things that have happened in the old historic part of town called "The Rocks" This part of town is where all the convicts got sent in historic Sydney. Of course all sorts of gruesome things happened, causing all sorts of mysterious occurrences and stories. I read also that they used to pay the convicts in alcohol (to be honest Sydney hasn't changed much...Beer runs more freely then water)....

The history of the convicts is funny in a weird sort of way. I've always known that, but when you remember that, it's much easier to understand why Aussie blokes are the way they are. Especially Sydney folk from what I gather. Nice people, but dayam....the men here don't really seem to have any discretion. I was laughing about it when Rebecca today. A little like a cockroach they are. I wont get into all my stupid little analogy rants, but they are just so very different from the Canadian boys I am more used to. I have a halo over my head now and just hang out with my sweet girl friends (hehe). (awe)

Speaking of Cockroaches, Sydney is infested with them and it's pretty gross. I made myself catch the ones I saw in a cup, and slide it onto paper and then out the window. I should have taken a picture of it, but I'm sure you all know what a cockroach looks like. Their pretty rancid....but I want to overcome my fear of any bugs that crunch and not be such a pussy. Since I'm on my way to Queensland I better toughen up....The spiders will be living with me soon...

Dayam....It's probably more work to read all this ^^ then to type it...so off I go
