Everything has done quite the turnaround since the weekend.

I had a nice weekend getting things sorted, out and learning a bit about the city etc. I've developed a comfort level, and am ready to go out and do my thing.

^^Some of Wollongong from the hill

On Monday I decided a change of hostel would be a good idea (which is was/is). I decided to go to the cheapest place I could find though (it was 11*ish @ night and I didn't feel like wandering too far). Anyways I went to this real dodgy place the next morning. The people were cool but my room smelled like cold cuts, and the kitchen was even worse. One of the fridges was probably possessed by satanic entities. When it would open (usually by an unsuspecting individual, still learning the kitchen ropes) Anyways there was something so rank in it that people in the hall way would cringe when it was opened... Anyways enough about evil fridges, I met some cool people and ended up going to Sydney Central for some rooftop beers.

We ended up going to a little bar in the hostel district for some dancing and beers. I met up with some fun locals from a town called Wollongong. I ended up hanging out them and met up and got kidnapped the next day to check out Wollongong. It's a very darling little town, I ended up meeting a lot of locals from there and may end up getting a place there. It's a killer deal and I hope it goes through. It's only 75$ a week, and there are quite a few jobs out there I can score. The people that live there are pretty fun too, there would be about five of us all together. Sydney is a lot of fun, and I have really enjoyed my time here, but I would way rather chill in a smaller beach town until January and save more money for travels. I also figure all big cities are pretty much the same, which I have done forever in Toronto. I would much rather be by the ocean, trees etc. Anyways It's sweet, because it's just a train ride away from downtown Sydney, and I can always take time off work and stay in the city, or go to Bondi/Coogee etc for the day. Anyways I keep my fingers crossed that it will work out, if not I'm sure I'll find a place soon I need not worry....Anyways that is some of my story.

Bye
