Hello
Today I think I have spent more time on the Internet then I have in the past two weeks. It's actually quite ridiculous, and I blame it all on my face book addiction. In the morning I walked all the way downtown the intentions of emailing temp agencies to get work. I emailed two and then spent probably an hour on face book or something. (If you have face book you should add me Chrissy Funzo is my screen name)
However I need not feel 100% guilty, because I did apply to a bunch of Temp agencies (on my second Internet trip) that I should expect calls from tomorrow. Nothing really anything extremely new, I had a pretty tame day. Explored the city a bit, went to the Botanical Gardens. I lied on the grass for a bit, and watched the speedy working ants (one of which I was biten by). I also uploaded my zorbing video, which is pretty silly. I always dislike the sound of my own voice, I sound like I have a cold or something. I want to actually make a cool video of something..........
Tonight I think I will check out the Valley, I hear it's quite the happening place. Lots of bands, and good music bla blah.

Every day is like Sunday
I wonder how much I can write in 15 minutes because my new (amazing) hostel has one downfall. That downfall is that the Internet is pretty ridiculously priced.
So Byron Bay was outstanding....Camping was really cool, and we met some really funny neighbours/people. So Thursday we headed to Surfers Paradise. Surfers was pretty much exactly what I was expecting, upon arrival. Very touristy with a lot of goofy looking sky scrapers along the beach. Other then the beach most people just wait for night to go and party, like vampires. Not that I wasn't guilty of that as well, but that is the main attraction to Surfers. I didn't really do any theme parks etc when I was there...mainly just walked around and perhaps participated in some late night festivities.....So I was in Surfers from Thursday-Sunday. Good times were had, and our Hostel was really cool.
Today @ 3:30 our bus picked us up @ the Station and headed our asses over to go Zorbing and then to Brisbane. Zorbing was really cool. It's basically a big rubber ball that you go into with two other people. They put a bunch of water in it and then roll you down a hill. I got people to take a video of it, so I'll post it when I get to a computer that will take my memory card.
Anyways Brisbane seems really chill and relaxed. When Travis and I were hanging out 'downtown' waiting for the hostel bus to pick us up we saw quite a few sketchies and began to grow a little weary. One real strange man wanted to sell us his ugly van, and some other girl was walking down the street like a zombie reading a book with some other zombie friend. Upon arrival to the hostel though I must say I was really impressed. Apparently The Smiths song every day is like Sunday, is supposed to be about Brissy. Even though today is a Sunday, I can see how that is. It's refreshing to be in a city that still has a chilled out vibe, but isn't ALL hamocks and hippies all day. Not to sound like I'm whining, but I'm just a fidgety individual. Eventually I get sick of the country life.
Anyways gottta go I'll post some pictures along with the zorbing video very soon.

My move to the outdoor life...So far it's pretty good. I'm very stubborn and don't want to buy a mattress since I'm only living here a week. So here is my new room, working on pimping it out..wee
There are also Lizards, and Turkeys EVERYWHERE...The lizards are all pretty cool with living with us peoples. Some people will catch them and hold them, and their favourite spot is by the hammocks

I posted this and nobody responded. Luckily I was resourceful and found a pretty nice tent for 30$. It is even set up for me and ready to move in on Monday.
I was in town and in the mood to be on the net for a while so I stumbled off my path to good old Global Gossip (All the free Internet @ the Travel Agents were full). Anyways it's been almost a week since I've been here and so far it's a real nice vacation. I enjoyed my surroundings upon arrival, and then decided to branch out in more productive ways.
Friday morning I woke up (semi)-early had my fantastic oatmeal and decided I was going to find a job. I wasn't really looking forward to it, because it's "very hard" to find a job "here". I suppose this is true to a point. I talked to some girls that were really looking hard and they didn't find anything. Anyways I was talking to these people I met good old Jim's tour. Their coffee looked real delicious and I decided a good long black would surely give me the charisma I so surely needed in order to land a job. Anyways I was in my Pjs, (which is usually half my outfit from the day before to save laundry) and just kinda blurted out between talking to the owner if they needed any staff?....I was asked to come in for a trial "tomorrow" (Tomorrow = Today)...Anyways work went well and I am now a Barista @ The Surf Cafe @ the Art Factory. It's a pretty sweet place to work. I get accommodation, and food in exchange for working. Starting Monday I will be moving out of my dorm room (The Space Room), and into the Tent I purchased today off a girl on her way to Bali. It will be kinda cool camping though, it's a real different vibe down by the shanti(ish) town of Tentville. I don't mind at all though, staying @ the Arts Factory is really nice. When I go back in the day tomorrow I'll take some pictures of the tent...Maybe I could even 'soop' up my front yard. There is already a tarp, so that's pretty sick. My neighbour has a real nice hammock that I'm sure he can't always occupy as well. OH the possibilityes. Travis got a job riding the bus too....(whoaaa) party BUS!!!...haha...Anyways Between bar/club hours there is a bus that drives to town and back....That's a pretty sick job too though...Good times...
Other then that not too much is new really. It's really nice in Byron though, I'm enjoying it very much indeed. The pedestrians, and cars just go by real cruisy.
Anyways I'm going to try surfing again more then likely within the next week. I had fun the last time I went, and even if I still completely suck it will still be fun to try.
Lately I've developed a healthy addiction to Ping Pong, which has been fun. I would like to get real good in the next week, I sometimes day dream of playing Forest Gump 'Stylez'...Boo yaka sha!!
I've also spent probably 10$ I'll never get back on Ms. Pac Man. It's so alluring and I really want to beat my score of 16720 (that's not that great of a score, but I was still a little proud). It's good they don't have Tetris Attack
Anyways I'll post some pics above of the hostel and bla bla blah.....
*mwah*

Twister @ the Surf Camp
I haven't posted any pictures in a while so here are a few to start off....This is Giant Jenga..I went with my old flatmates in Sydney...Good times were had.
There is a cafe in Kings Cross that may give you a "special treat" if you order a flat white and pay with a fifty dollah Bill...
Here is a picture of my flat white

This is the Barrington River
Hello from the East Coast
First off sorry if any of you thought I have been eaten by a kangaroo or something. I moved out of my place on Saturday and hopped on my bus with OzExperience. No dramas leaving Sydney, it's really nice to be able to breath clean air, and live amongst the trees and greenery. My Boss was super cool about me leaving as well...I felt a little bad @ first that my original two weeks notice turned more into ----------------->
---->"Here is my two weeks notice, but I can't work the last 6 days"
He was rad though, he was his regular enthusiastic self and said that Sydney sucks and I am smart for getting out. He had a tinge of homesickness in his eyes as he expressed his love for his mother land up East. It was a shit fest the last week though because my boss got suspended, the As. Manager quit, along with myself and about two other people...Cotastrophy...!!...Anyways life will go on....And I'm so glad to be away from Sydney.
The journey started going to this lodge cabin in a town called Barrington, with our tour bus. Everyone on the bus was awesome, and Travis and I made quite a few friends. Our bus driver was pretty dry, but at times so dry that it was funny. I was surprised that he got into the field of driving for Oz Experience. Anyways a few giggles were shared amongst the rebellious types in the back of the bus, over his over analytical directions. Anyways moving right along....
The place in Barrington was outstanding. There was a beautiful river that some of us swam upstream. There is this spot nearing the top that is like an outdoor jacuzzi. We then had wood stove pizza and a camp fire. It was so refreshing to be out of the city. It's cute how when it's 10:00 you feel like it's 2am because there are no lights. Walking back up the hill to the lodge was interesting...you can't see your hand in front of your face...
The next day we went to Surf Camp...I was quite proud of myself that I stood up the first day....Surf Camp was something I would love to do again...On Monday we headed our asses to Byron Bay which I could probably stay forever. It's amazing here...cool beach town with no Mcdonalds and other crap. All the stores are pretty darling here, and it's pretty granola/hippy here....Today I look forward to venturing into town and browsing around....
Tuesday was probably one of the most anticipated days amongst the "Canadians" and selected others. It was
JIMS ALTERNATIVE TOURS
Basically in a nutshell it's a tour bus that syncs music up to the ride, and takes to you to the wonderful town of Nimbin.
Nimbin is a magical little town, much like the Amsterdam of Holland. It may just have one of the smallest main strips in town, but more then likely the most to look at. The museum is quite interesting. I took a few pictures, and will have to go back to take more. Our bus driver only let us stay in Nimbin to grab some essentials, and cookies. We then drove around and saw some real cool parts of the country by Nimbin. The driver then took us to this hippies house where there was a real cool pond, along with Macadamia nuts, and watermelon. We went on a bush walk for a bit and he talked about his love for trees, and vegetation. The life of a hippy...hmm? It seems so tempting, however this was literally in the middle of NOWHERE...he bought the land 20 some odd years ago and made himself a little utopia where he can live in harmony with nature. I smiled when he was throwing watermelon over the fence and saying "Back to the earth!!!"....Well at least I get to be a semi-partial hippy for a little while. I definetely want to go back for a day trip sometimes next week perhaps.
The hostel that I'm staying at right now is called The Arts Factory. It just may be the best hostel in all of the east coast. It feels more like a resort, then a hostel. It has a pool, lots of hamocks, and lots of nature. There are lots of cool things that go on as well. Today there is yoga at 2:00 (I believe) I think I will have to do that.......Anyways I'll be off now
