HM???

Well it's times like this that I sit back and think to myself how quick everything happens sometimes. It's only been 8 days since I've left and it has definetely been a rocket ship ride on ecstasy.

Well I'll start @ the beginning and try to make it somewhat zippy.

Operation--->"Get kidnapped by cool strangers" went well.....I ended up going on a road trip from Bowen to Darwin with an Aussie dude named Ryan. To be honest he didn't really like to talk a whole lot, but it was still a sweet trip. Sometimes I would try to make random little conversations such as "so if you were a vegetable what would you be and why???
He would respond saying "But I'm not a vegetable that's just silly Chrissy".....Some people just don't get it really!!!....I don't think he was one of thoese people that really found my oddness very indearing....I don't think he disliked me but he was a lot like bread with no butter....No expression or anything really...I'm glad I'm not dead inside....Moving right along though---> We went to Mt. Isa which is a mining town, stopped in some hot springs, the Katherine gorge, and the oldest pub in Oz. I was gutted the whole time about not taking pictures....but mehhh maybe one day he'll wake up with a bout of motivation and send me all those precious gems of the oatback. It was freeeeeezing camping @ night though....I just put a blanket over me like the mystery stuff inside of a spring roll breathing as deeply as I could trying to warm up, I reckon it builds character....Now I remember how the cold feels, and I am thankful as I walk around in a dainty skirt with a strawberry on it and a red tube top right now....

When I got to Darwin, I had my bags and hula hoops and all that and was kinda dragging it into the elevator. I met this really lovely guy that makes me blush......Anyways we ended up really hitting it off and now we're caravanning it up in the Darwin Area....We went to Kakadu for a few days which is a huge national park about three hours away. It was really nice, and for the first time in a while I feel like I'm primo vacationing.....Since then we've just been playing around and enjoying all the stuff to do in Darwin. Today we went to the Beer can regatta....

What is the Beer can regatta you may ask???

Well it's a zany and quirky little event when a bunch of drunken Aussie blokes make boats (over the course of a year) make out of beer cans.....Some of them were outstanding....They all race the boats in the ocean and the rest of the day is full of cute little events like thong throwin (thongs= flip flops), zany relay races, tug of war etc etc. I had my hula hoops and was sitting in our cool camping chair, and some news reporters came up to me and took some pictures of me too. So apparently I'm in the paper tomorrow, theres another minute out of my 15 of fame!!!.....Simon won a prize of hotel accommodation too doing this sweet relay race....You have to run down the beach and carry two 2-4 cases of solo (lemonade), then kayak around, and then race back to the beach. We were all stoked too cuz we were homeless today, but we can't use them till Sept. CRICKEY!!!!.....Anyways that's whats sweet about having your home on wheels it's soooo wicked.....I splurged and got a camera so I'll have to post some pictures of our sweet ride......It has a microwave/stove/table/everything else....ahhh I think we'll probably hang out in Darwin for a week, and then head off to Broome and do the west coast....Do some pearling there or something, that could be fun (and I do like oysters)....

Anyways this post is starting to get real boring.....and if I don't want to induce vomitting by me being a sucky girl.....So I say good bye I'm gonna go and play!!!

say hi to the ducks for me!!!

P.S.

I can't believe I almost forgot

I fed those prudish ducks (I'm so sorry to say that but it's true) for the last time.....It must have been a special day because the huge ducks saw myself and my friend Kat and began to paddle quite quickly towards us. They ate all the bread, except for some that the evil beady eyed seagulls got....

That is all
Heya Beautiful World

So tomorrow (Friday) @ 5am I leave to go to Darwin on a magical road trip. I'm pretty stoked and anticipate tomorrows arival. The drive will be very very very long....If we leave tomorrow we will most likely get there by Tuesday maybe Monday. Gonna stop @ Mt. Isa and Katherine along the way..or any other random things that may tickle the fancy.

Today I did all those tying up loose end things. Going to the stores where I made little friends and saying good bye, and dropping off melons and pumpkins. I figured I'd stop @ the Net cafe as well to finish some stuff before I bolt home and finish making my countless cards for the awesome people I have met...I think I have about 5 more to do or something.......

I'm looking forward to my last night...This really awesome french Girl made a really cool dinner for us and it's so sweet of her.....I contemplate if I should get some passion pop seeing as it's suchhhh an early morning and all..hmmmm maybe just a little in celebration...I figure today and yesterday are my free days......

That's really all I have to say nothing very interesting. After I finish packing and all I want to hula hoop for a while...I've gotten pretty alright at it and I'm taking it with me...

Bye now

Hello There

Just thought I'd do a quick update on my Wednesday excitement.

I went to work today knowing that it will be my last day. I handed in my harvest forms did some crappy work, and went home early. I was just really over all of this and I would much rather be in the sun and typing random nothings anyways.

I'm leaving Bowen this Friday @ 5am on a road trip to Darwin. I'm very excited and am going to finalize all the details tonight.

Once I get to Darwin I'll look into doing some pearling or something before I head to Asia...I think that is my plan. Generally my plan is always just not to have a plan at all, so really nobody knows.

P.S. Today a bird shat on me when I was sitting under the big smoko tree. (smoko is Aussie for break). I think it's good luck though, it happened twice last year and things have only gotten better since then so I remain optimistic...

Bye now

I guess there is a time in every ones life when they have a little strike of silly luck.
The past week and a 1/2 have been mine
I had a date with a Little too much 'kool-ade" when it all began....
and I
Misplaced my camera
mhm
The other thing was I accidentally snapped my glasses in half.........In a frantic rush one evening (what the rush was I don't recal), I was throwing things in my corner when I put my hand down hastily, leaving my poor innocent frames decapitated and disemboweled. I have my contacts though and will get new glasses in the near future. There is no optomitrist here.
Other then that I have a smile on my face because I know my Bowen adventures are coming to an end.
It's like when you were a kid on a road trip, and you can see your destination in the distance.
Leaving the uncontrollable urge to ask "are we there yet"????? on the side for a later trek. Parents go insane with that question too, and to be honest it woud annoy me too. Good thing for me my parents were always real patient. I have been blessed with inheriting thier patience as well. Sometimes I think that we all just may be aliens from a far away planet - like in third rock from the sun or something. (in a good way) Not too many things piss me off, and when they do I just close my eyes and envision ducks, or something that makes me smile. If I had a kid I think I would draw a map and just make it up and put little dots to show where we were. Visual maps are good like that...Anyways I'll move right along now......
Not too many outrageous things have happened lately. A heap of my favourite people left so we have had some celebrations and all, and today is a nice day I have decided to make a date with the ducks and my lovely room ates on an afternoon excursion.
After the Internet I"m going to see the travel agent and see if there are some tours I can do to get to Darwin, but I'm going to try to hook up a ride as my first choice. There are heaps of backpackers leaving and people are always looking for others to split costs.
In the TV room we watched this movie called The Secret. I was told that it was an Aussie film but all the people in it are American (It's based on the Aussie book though). Anyways I don't know if it's big in Canada etc yet? I wouldn't be surprised if it was because things seem to take longer to come out in Oz.
Anyways it was pretty good. It's all about positive thinking and visualizations and all that cal. It's basically how I already lived my life, but they kinda give a couple good points that are sweet and dainty. Some of the stories are pretty unrealistic though, (and I'm not a very skeptical person). At times it was very centred as well, I thought it would have been nice to have more of a Buddhist sort of approach, along with sunshine spreading. Anyways the point of my ramblings is that I think lately I have gotten too comfortable living here and it's time to move on. I will be leaving 100% in the next two weeks if not by Monday (which is four days away). I'm pretty stoked, and have decided I want to go pearling in Darwin. Doing jobs like that @ least I wouldn't be able to do back home, and I would get to see so many things I wouldn't get the "oppor-tune" to see otherwise. The other thing that it made me think about is doing thigns for myself. Lately I've been a lot more crafy and all, and I think I should keep it up and improve. My plan is that by December 2007 I'll have a creative masterpiece. I'd write more but it's top secret.
Ye-ah
Anyways after that I will head to Asia. I'm meant to meet with my friend Bryony after she is done her Harvest work. We plan on kidnapping each other willingly and having random times in Thailand/Cambodia/Vietnam.
Sometimes it freaks me out how quickly time is going and that the clock is constantly ticking making my visa shorter.
This is why I need to get out of Bowen very shortly.
Anyways that's really all I have to say
If you haven't seen The Secret it's worth a watch....
Other films I've seen that are good lately are
*Lucky number s7even
*Wolf Creek (Aussie horror film)
*He died with a falafel in his hand (Indy Aussie film - Very good)
*Dodge Ball (even though everyone has seen it but it was my first time and I liked it)
Bye now

We had a bad taste party @ the hostel which was a lot of fun....There was a lot of dragon dancing *aparently* and passion pop......

Bouncy worms/slides are radical

And I don't know why but i took a picture of the rubbish truck because it was full of lorerkeets....

Bye now
Hey I have gotten real lazy with writing on account of me being in the same place for so long...Not really too much to say...

However I just wanted to let you know that I'm alive and well.....

The clouds decided to be happy and stop whining, as the sun has once again graced us with its warm presence. The birds are chirping sweetly, and butterflies flutter around like that bag in American Beauty.....anyways....

Nothing really really worth mentioning...I went to the fair with my girlfriends and went in the bouncy slide/worm, that was definitely a good time....uhmmmm I have been working, polishing goofy pumpkins, and all that cal. however I am going on an Airlie date over the weekend which should be good. I am like a grade five girl, and giggle @ everything, I almost make myself puke......
Anyways that's all really...
